Ponytail Palm (also known as the bottle palm tree or the elephant foot tree) It’s called as palm, but isn’t really a palm. This succulent plant sort of resembles a palm. It is an evergreen perennial growing to 15 feet 6 inches (4.72 m) with a noticeable expanded caudex, for storing water but You can limit its growth by planting it in a small container and not repotting it to a large container.
The Ponytail is drought tolerant, slow growing, and requires little care.
☀️ Ponytails thrive in bright light and can tolerate direct sunlight all day. This happy plant will enjoy living outside during the day soaking up sunlight, but we do recommend bringing it in at night when temperatures start to dip.
💧 Ponytails should be watered when the soil is 100% dry, water thoroughly to encourage a healthy root system, discard any excess water in the saucer. This plant enjoys dry weather, it thrives in dry conditions the dryer the air the better.
🌡 This plant prefers room temperatures between 60-85 degrees. For best results use a general houseplant fertilizer only once in the spring and once in the summer, any more than that and your Ponytail may develop brown tips on the leaves.
☠️ This plant is non-toxic to humans and pets.
