Pachira (also known as Money Tree) can be either indoor or outdoor plant, as an outdoor plant it can grow as big as 50 feet tall. When small the Pachira can be trained as a bonsai or used as a table plant. As the plant matures it makes a great indoor tree with the potential to grow up to 6 feet tall or larger.
☀️ The Pachira grows best with medium indirect light, can also be kept under fluorescent light.
💧 We recommend that you water your plant regularly, allow the top 1”-2” of soil to dry out before watering again. Water less during the winter months, be sure to have in a pot with drain holes at the bottom and saucer to prevent over-watering and root rot. It is important to evenly water the soil.
🌡 This plant loves high humidity, you can keep this plant on a wet pebble tray to maintain the necessary humidity or mist regularly. It is important to use a quickly drain potting soil. If the soil is too heavy, add sand to the mix to help it drain faster.
✨ Feed a Pachira monthly in the spring and summer, when it is producing new leaves. Try to use a plant food high in nitrogen during spring, balanced during the summer, and high in potassium during the fall. I recommend diluting your plant food to 1/2 the recommended strength. It’s not necessary to feed a Pachira during the winter. We recommend that you keep your Pachira in temperatures between 65-75 degrees Fahrenheit.
☠️ The Pachira is a non-toxic plant.
